Answers to prayers
Yes our prayers are constantly being answered- not always in our timing, but always in the Lord's timing, which is perfect. Today came the answer to another long time prayer; after moving to the Midwest from Utah 9 years ago, we have prayed unceasingly for a temple to be closer to us. Today President Monson announced during the church's General Conference, a temple to be built in the greater Kansas City area (among others)- meaning only an hour to drive instead of 3 1/2- 5 hours. What a remarkable blessing this will be in our lives; how truly magnificent! Having lived equidistant on either side of Kansas City, it is just the perfect location- so many opportunities await us I am sure, and perhaps another gathering place to re-unite us with our friends from Kansas!

so cool! I know how you feel! We had about a 3-4 hour drive to D.C. and now I only live a block or two away, but I'm so happy for everyone in Philly.
I too think it is cool. But it is still 3 hours either way for us (ST Louis or KS). But now if I go to KS I can meet you and we can go together again. Remember the old days, the 2 of us every week. That was a great time.
That's really really fantastic. I always did feel a little bad about those who just missed the divide from the Winters Quarters district! That will be fun for you to run into old friends!
